Indy at the HQ

Well, I got the new Hasbro Indiana Jones 1/6th figures. Here's a little story to show off Indy, Mutt, The German Officer and the Cairo Swordsman. I'm a little let down by the talker and Mutt ... they are pretty much one-trick ponies!!! In any event, I hope ya dig this!!!

Remember,if you click on the pics they get bigger!!!

Going Green

Just a little humor ... I got the new DC Direct 13" Green Arrow figure and he's very cool!!! Of course, DC's idea of 16th scale is different than Hasbro and pretty much every other manufacturer, but I guess you can argue that superheroes are "larger than life".

Remember, if you click on the pictures, they grow!!!

Empty Mission

Poor Joe, he's feeling some Adventure Team Angst!!! All the other guys have fabulous adventures and nothing ever happens to him!!!

This is a repro Air Adventurer that was sold at Kay-Be Toy Stores, it's the same as the one Urban Outfitters sold, in other words, he came dressed in the Sea Adventurer's clothes. I redressed him in a combination of vintage G.I. Joe clothes, some Ultra Corps accessories and a hat from a blow-molded figure that came from a Dollar Store.

Remember if you click on the pictures, they grow!!!

Fool's Gold

They're back!!! Lewis & Larry have a mission to accomplish, can they??? Of course life is full of obstacles ... what will Lewis & Larry do to overcome them??

Remember, if you click on thee pix, they grow!!

Eagle Eye

The people at Cotsworld (http://www.gijoeelite.com/f_actionmancoverpage.asp) have added an Eagle Eye Action Man to their 40th Anniversary Action Man line. As most people know, Action Man is G.I. Joe's British counterpart, but the action figure line outlived the original G.I. Joe line and was pretty unique. I never got an Eagle Eye G.I. Joe, by the time they were released I was into my misspent youth and had left action figures behind (fortunately I did eventually come to my senses and return to them later in life).

The actual Eagle Eye Action Man is pretty cool!!! There is a little tab on the back of his head that you use to move his eyes, kinda cool!!! He has a slightly more muscular body than the standard Action Man/G.I. Joe which I like quite a lot. The only thing that is a bit odd about him is that he has a surprised look at all times, kinda like he had a face lift ... not enough to stop liking him though!!!

I also got the new Hasbro Repulsor-Power Iron Man figure, he's a tie-in with the new movie coming out soon. The figure looks more like the movie version than the comic book version, but he's still cool. If you push the button in the middle of his chest, he lights up and talks. Definitely fun stuff!!!

So, what do you do when you get some new figures??? You put them in a little story to introduce them!!!

So, here's Eagle Eye Action Man and Iron Man, you also get a later day Action Man and Max Steel for some added fun!!!

Remember if you click on the pix they grow!!!

Crime Scene Antics

Some Power Team police figures are on the scene with a Hot Topic Land Adventurer G.I. Joe. There seems to be a communication problem. Is Joe dead???

Coming along for the ride are the DC Direct 13" Power Girl. She's a pretty cool figure, my only complaint is that her flesh colored leg covering is baggy and wrinkles. I do like her face and overall look ... she captures the feel of Power Girl.

She is followed by the DC Direct 13" Catwoman. I love her fake leather outfit and mask. She is probably the best DC Direct figure to date. She looks like the Darwyn Cooke inspired version of Catwoman that is currently the "look" in the comics.

The DC Direct 13" Nightwing is next and he's a great version of the character, many think he's too "Brad Pitt" pretty-boy looking, but that doesn't bother me. I like that his mask is removeable!!

I then followed up with a custom African American Atomic Man, he's a modern Joe made to be similar to the vintage Mike Power figure. Which leads to my vintage Mike Power, Atomic Man.

Watch the mayhem and silly banter!!!

This is more another shameless excuse to show off some of my newer figures than anything else, but I hope you enjoy them!!!
